From Our Founder
Malcolm Odom
After working to build some of the Grand Strand’s most prestigious homes for other developers, Malcolm Odom founded Odom Design for the purpose of creating inspiring living spaces with one-of-a-kind elements.
Born and raised in Fayetteville, NC, Malcolm was the 6-year-old with a wooden toy hammer building alongside his father. With most of Malcolm’s family employed in the construction business around a growing Fayetteville, it seemed predestined that he’d join the family business. He set off on his own first with a career as a tennis pro cut short by injury. Soon after he came back home to work his way up building single-family homes.
The seed of what would become Odom Design was planted when Malcolm became a preferred builder for a custom home community outside of Pinehurst, NC. The experience let him work closely with homeowners, and the freedom of exploring unique design elements rejuvenated his passion for custom home design and building.
